Unit Meeting: Sex Offenders: A difficult subject that needs to be discussed. Sex Offending is an extremely difficult subject to discuss. If the term "Child Predator" is introduced most people grimace, become uncomfortable and quickly change the topic of conversation. This mind-set is entirely understandable but it is also misguided and can even be dangerous. Legislatures are labeled as being "soft on sex offenders" if they try to amend sex offenders laws. Men (and women) have been driven from their neighborhoods, forced from jobs, and their families split apart because of the misinformation on this subject. Take a deep breath if you need to, but please come and be prepared to learn something new. Bring your questions!!!!!

Presented by Anne Krick, Psy.D., a Clinical Psychology and certified as a Sex Addiction Therapist; and Robert A. Heap, a criminal defense attorney.
